The village Liptovský Ján has been know as a searching holiday resort with a wide range of possibilities to relax in summertime as well as in wintertime for long decades. There are 21 manors and 7 yeomen mansions in Liptovský Ján. In 1991 it was proclaimed as a zone of historical monuments. Jánska valley got a health resort status in 1998.
