Liptovsky Hradok – Narrow-Gauge Forest Railway

The Narrow-Gauge Forest Railway is an extended exhibition of the Liptov Museum at Ružomberok. It gathers the movables of the former Čiernovážska Forest Railway whose construction was begun in 1913 and whose track ran from Liptovský Hrádok through Liptovská Teplička, up to Zátureň pod Kráľovou Hoľou. It was the longest railway track in Slovakia and served to transport timber and also passengers. It was abolished for economic reasons in 31.12.1971. The rolling stock of the engine shed and 11,6 km of the track have been preserved.
