Bardejov – Saris Museum
The Šariš regional museum at Bardejov was established in 1903 as a museum of the Šariš zhupa (district). The town put the building of the historical Town Hall, in a Gothic-Renaissance style from the 16th century, at the disposal of the museum in which the first art-history exhibition of the history of Šariš was made accesible back in 1907. The Šariš museum as a regional organization documents the development of nature and the society in the region of Upper Šariš. It enjoys an all-Slovakia competence in the domain of iconographic production of the Eastern rite and Eastern Slovakia is active in the domain of entomology.
