Blatnica – Karol Plicka Museum
The Karol Plicka Museum is branch exhibition of the Slovak National Museum – Ethnography Museum at Martin. The exhibition is installed in the Late-Baroque Prónay chateau from the 1st half of the 18th century. It deals with the life and work of the eminent art photographer, film producer, ethnographer, folklorist and teacher Karol Plicka (1894–1987) and particularly with his relation to the values of Slovakia's traditional folk culture. It is open since 1988. The SNM – EM has been gathering the artist's fund since 1986.
