Bratislava – Museum of Trade

The Museum of Trade was open in 1983 when the Ministry of Trade and Turism SSR set up a Documentation Centre of Trade, Cathering and Turism. The Museum of Trade as self-standing unit came into being on January 1, 1991. The museum is housed in a building built in the mid-18th century on the orders of the finance supervisor of the Bratislava archiepiscopal estate Juraj Albert. It is a rural manor with a park rebuilt and enlarged in the 2nd half of the 19th century. The last owners were the Linzboth family. The Museum of Trade collects, professionally processes, protects and introduces material documents and writings on the development of trade, catering and tourism on the territory of Slovakia.
