Bratislava – Museum of Education and Pedagogy
The Museum of Education and Pedagogy in Slovakia is a central museum of the Department of Education whose mission is to document the development of these branches in Slovakia. It was set up in 1970 by a decision of the Ministry of Education SR as a department of the then Slovak Pedagogical Library. At present, it forms part of the Institute of Information and Prognoses of Education. The museum's collection are principally made up of the extensive fund of school manuals and pedagogical literature from the 17th century, annual school reports from the 19th and 20th century, collections of educational films from their first making in Slovakia, teaching aids, class furnishing and school symbols.
