Mining Museum Gelnica
is a branch facility of the Museum of the Spiš region at Spišská Nová Ves. Traditions of collecting documentary material relating to mining at Gelnica reach back to the times of Maria Theresia. The present museum, however, was founded in 1963, in the building of the former Town's magistracy. The museum's collections come for the most part from Gelnica and enviros and refer to the 19th and 20th century.
