Modra – Ludovit Stur Museum
The Ludovit Stur Museum at Modra was set up in 1965 as specialized literary museum. The museum's main mission is to collect, document and introduce materials referring to the life and work of Ľudovít Štúr and his generation against a background of the national-political, social and cultural movement here during the times of the Slovak national revival. The museum secondary field of activity is the history of the town, its ceramics works and fine art in relation to Ľ.Štúr and the town. The museum has its seat in the building of the former Town hall, built in the 1st half of the 19th century in the neo-Classicist style.
