The Guesthouse Milka is situated in the heart of the spa town of Turčianske Teplice (behind the Town Hall). The distance from the main spa parts is only 50 m. This allows the guests to be treted in the spa while using services of the Guesthouse Milka. Turčianske Teplice is the only spa in Slovakia dedling with kidney and urinary system diseases treating, and also they tret locomotory tract diseases here. The town and its surroundings have good possibilities for recreation. In the summer one can use thermal swimming pools or can go fisching, biking, picking mushrooms and various berries in the near forests. The whole area, so called Turčianska valley is surrounded by the mountains of Big fatra, Small Fatra and Kremnické Mountains. All these mountains are famous for their tourist tracks and ski resorts. In the distance from 5 to 30 km there are such ski resorts Čremošné, Krahule, Skalka, Jasenská Valley with artificial snow, and martinské hole. Other possibilities for recreation : Mošovce – swimming pool, gaderská Valley – the most beutiful and the longest valley in the Turiec area, starting-point of nice tourist tracks, Blatnica – the village with traditional architecture of past, Harmanecká cave (and other caves), Martin – cultural centre of national life of The Slovaks (e.g. Open Air Museum of the Slovak Village), Kremnica – historical mining town, Bojnice – the ZOO, swimming pool, gothic castle and other places.
