Ski resort Krompachy Plejsy

The tradition of skiing in Plejsy dates back to 1952. The resort stretches along the northern slopes of Krompašsky Vrch (1025 m), 2 km from the town of Krompachy and 70 km from the High Tatras.
The resort has been built dramatically in recent years. Its comfort and capacity has increased substantially and the resort has been approved as the official center for the Olympic preparation of the Slovak representation. The International Ski Federation homologised slalom, giant slalom and super giant slalom courses. Plejsy has hosted several European Cups.
There are 9 downhill tracks of various difficulty, a restaurant, ski service, ski rental shop, children's corner and other services for skiers. Since the entire area is conditioned with artificial snow the season is prolonged until spring months even when the majority of ski resorts already closed their operations.
Relax Center Plejsy ski resort is situated at an altitude of 470 – 912 m. The most demanding skiers, beginners and children find it interesting.
They can use:
- 3 easy downhill tracks (total length:1 km)
- 3 medium downhill tracks (total length: 1,8 km)
- 3 difficult downhill tracks (total length: 4,8 km)
- 15 km of cross-country tracks
The longest track is 2350 m long with an elevation of 420 m.
All the tracks are conditioned with artificial snow what guarantees excellent snow conditions until spring months even when the majority of ski resorts already closed their operations.
The construction of an entirely new downhill track with a seat cableway is proceeding in the area.
Skiers can use:
- 7 lifts
- two-seat cable way (length: 1863 m)
The waiting period does not exceed 15 minutes. The capacity reaches 6 thousand persons per hour.
