Ružomberok
The ski resort SKIPARK Ruzomberok stretches along the slopes of Larger Fatra next to the town of Ruzomberok at the elevation of 545–1209 meters over the sea level. It is situated approximately two kilometers off the city center. The entrance gate to the resort is Hrabovo, where the cable car railway starts and leads to Malino Brdo.
The town of Ruzomberok is in the center of an attractive turrets area of Dolny-Liptov.
Skipark Ruzomberok is famous by its perfect geographic position, because this town is crossed by the major highway, and besides, one can use the airport in Poprad, and, theoretically, in Zilina. There is a modern balneological resort Beshenova in approximately 12 kilometers from the town, which functions year-round, that is in the winter as well. This fact makes the rest for guests a brighter and more interesting one after the all–day-long mountain skiing.
The area near the Skipark Ružomberok has different perfect skiing facilities for different categories of skiers, from nervous beginners and experienced skiers up to adrenaline slopes adherence.
The ski competition participants will also be happy with the fact that in 1997 we received the FIC certificates for the following courses: slalom, gigantic slalom, super gigantic slalom, all these courses available for both males and females.
There is a vast choice of the slalomtrack length, starting at 130 and 300 metres up to 1000/2000 metres ones. In Malino Brdo and even up to 3900 meter long from Malino Brdo to Hrabovo, to lowest station of the cable railway.
To preserve the ski slopes ready to stand everyday skiers’ attack and to provide their safety as well, trained qualified staff members provide the slalom tracks care. With the use of powerful machines of the \„Kassbohrer\“ trademark. As the safety and peace of mind of the skiers are our primary aims, our company takes all due responsibility to the preparation of slalom tracks. As a result all works are performed energetically and exactly.
During the winter season the resort proposes perfect skiing conditions at the Malinne slopes, which are covered with the snow mechanically, for all categories of skiers. The winter season lasts approximately from December up to the end of March. All the slalom tracks are wide enough and are ideal for spring skiing under the sun in March. One can get an awesome view from the top of Malino Brdo. In good weather to all the famous Slovakian mountain ranges.
