We are introducing to you the purposive center of Committee of Slovak Red Cross (SRC) – Henri Dunant's House SRC in Mlynčeky.
The House is situated under High Tatras, (about 5 km from Kežmarok), outskirts of the village Mlynčeky. The advantageous position of the House will give you a chance to visit High Tatras, Slovak Paradise, Kežmarok, Pieniny, Ždiar, Levoča, Spiš Castle and other attractive places.
During winter season, from December till March, we recommend you a visit of winter sport's centers: the nearest ski-lift is 1.5 km far, for skilful skiers directly in the village, centers in Bachledova valley (18 km), Tatranská Lomnica (18 km), Ždiar (20 km), Starý Smokovec (23 km). Whole surrounding of the House offers you many possibilities for cross-country skiing.
During summer terms, from May till September, offer High Tatras great-many chances for tourism. The well-know starting points for tourism are Tatranské Matliare (15 km), Tatranská Lomnica, Starý Smokovec and other Tatra's settlements. There are also good conditions for tourists in the near-surroundings of the House. Typical Tatra's forest starts just several meters behind the village Mlynčeky. There is a forest-road in it, which connects village with settlements Tatranská Lomnica and is about 8 km long. Another attractive place is thermal swimming-pool in Vrbov, which is situated about 10 km far from Mlynčeky.
During your stay at us, we will provide you all the services connected with accommodation and catering facilities, sauna, gymnasiums, class-rooms, lecture-room (the capacity is 100 places) and it can serve also a cinema, companion room with TV-set (also satellite programs), other companions counges like Slovak room, Yellow lounge, library, children's playground and playgrounds for volleyball and basketball. In the House, there is also the possibility of borrowing sport-tools, books and table games.
Stays at us are very suitable for children and youth. Accommodation is in double and four bed rooms with WC and shower for every room. There are armchairs, table couch, wardrobe and Hotel's radio. The majority of rooms have a balcony. The House has three floors, the capacity is 120 places. In the House, there is also a health centre with several quarantine-rooms.
We have a long-years experiences with organizing of „schools in the nature“ for children of school and preschool-age, we have also experiences of leading of variable relaxing and health stays, school trips, skiing courses and so on. The stays at us are advisable for the groups of employees too.
