The national protected area called Kvačany Canyon is natural narrow passage formed with rocks and cliffs. It\‚s about 2 miles long, till Oblazy area. The canyon is from this point divided into Hutianka part and Borovianka part (names of the streams). There is a road going high above the stream all along the canyon. Slopes in the Kvačany Canyon are covered with rocks and stonewalls as well as with forests. The trees were never mined because of their inaccessibility. That\‘s why nature in here is well preserved and unique. In 1967 Kvačany Canyon was claimed by Slovak government as a national park.
